The flagship product from Boss Workouts, Boss Lean Mass is a 12-week muscle transformation plan designed to build as much lean muscle as possible. It’s a dedicated journey to muscle growth, and a detailed, science-led program. It’s unapologetic, some have even described it as brutal.

What’s Included

The programme isn’t just a schedule of workouts, you get a package which includes everything you need to hit your goals. Detailed evidence-based training and nutrition bibles and a series of really high quality videos talking you through the workouts.

The whole thing is hosted by Jason Sani – an industry expert. He’s a pretty jacked guy himself, a personal trainer and culinary nutritionist. He makes a good frontman for the show, confident delivery without too much swagger.

How Does It Work?

The first thing to point out is that the programme is laser focused. They’ve not tried to make it appeal to a large audience by offering variations or alternatives. It’s about making you big, full stop.

Second point to make – it’s an advanced program but that doesn’t mean it’s only aimed at advanced users. It will suits everyone from pro athlete level right through to beginners.

It’s directed at guys who want to make drastic changes to their physiques and aren’t afraid to chalk up their hands, double scoop their pre-workout and give it their all.

The aim of Boss Lean Mass is to:

  • Build maximal mass
  • A tighter, leaner physique
  • Ramp up strength, conditioning, stamina and muscle endurance
  • Improved health, vitality and wellness

It is a 12-week program that uses phases of mass building and strength training, cycled every two weeks to keep you interested, target every aspect of muscle fitness and ramp up progress.

The aim of the strength cycle is to use big lifts to build explosive power and force. The massing phase is all about promoting muscle growth through volume and tension.

Each workout uses Power Days to get your training weeks off to a flying start, muscle splits to maximize overload and adaptation, and combines free weight, body weight and advanced calisthenic exercises. A pretty potent mix of athlete-building stimuli.

There’s also an added extra in an optional (sleeve-busting) arm workout too. Just in case the 4-days-per-week schedule isn’t enough for you.

Boss Lean Mass : Target Audience

This will suit any guy who wants to build muscle and strength and isn’t afraid to work hard for it.

That last bit is the important bit. Put bluntly, this workout is not for pussies. It is a full-on muscle assault.

If you’re fit and healthy and already go to the gym on a regular basis and give it your all then this is pretty much written just for you. The overall feel of the program tell us it’s targeted at a young and confident guy who can hit the gym on a regular basis without fail.

Package Observations

There’s a hell of a lot of thought gone into this workout. The clever thing about it is this is caters for the guy that wants a quick and dirty plan to just skim over and then hit the gym with. And on the other hand there’s endless amounts of quality info contained in the videos and training and diet guides for guys that want to get every bit of value from their investment.

We felt a lot of things whilst going through this, one thing we didn’t feel was short changed.

The educational resources that come with the video and digital app are pretty much worth the money on their own. They don’t just tell you what you’re doing during your workouts – they focus on the why in detail too.

If you want to know why exactly why you should use ‘potentiation’ activities or how pyramid training can accelerate your progress then you can dive into the resources.

It’s the same for nutrition too. The accompanying guide informs you exactly how much protein you should aim for to get jacked, why carbs aren’t the enemy on Lean Mass and how meal timing really isn’t that important.

On the downside – there’s no way to really throttle this back. Either you are all-in or you are out. if you’re the kind of gym goer that plods along rather than goes in all guns blazing. If you’re not willing to work, it’s not for you.

Conclusion

Powerful movements, muscle-crushing advanced methods and circuits that’ll challenge your cardio as much as your strength, this is a well-rounded and crafted program. If you have the balls for it, that is.

The best part is the depth of information, and the explanations about why certain exercises have been included. This workout plan won’t just build muscle, it’ll build knowledge. Considering the price of it is a couple of hours with a personal trainer, the value for money one offer here is superb.

All in all this is a great job by Boss. A solid and comprehensive product that will motivate, educate and above all else … get you lean and muscular. So far Boss Lean Mass is out Number 1 muscle building programme.
