Test X180 Elite is one of the most expensive boosters we've seen, but that's really all that sets it apart. This review looks at what it gets wrong, right and why ultimately it's just not that great value for money.

Test X180 Genesis Review

One advantage test boosting supplements have got over Testosterone Replacement Therapy (apart from the safety of keeping things natural), is that they’re more affordable.

Every now and then though, you’ll find a brand with a price which feels like it’s running TRT kinda close. This is the case with Test X180 Genesis from Force Factor.

Test X180 Genesis costs as much as an eye watering $169 per monthly bottle. Frankly the only thing that should be higher than that price is your expectations of results.

Test X180 Genesis

Force Factor promises;

“man’s ultimate free testosterone booster,’ delivering ‘ideal strength and endurance, bolstered cognitive clarity and focus & sharpened sexual appetite.’

The nearly $200 question is : Will it deliver this?

We recently reviewed Test X180 Alpha from Force Factor and at $140 they weren’t exactly giving that away either. It was OK, but didn’t justify a triple digit price tag.

We’ll need vast improvements from this new effort to change our mind.

Like the first product from this company we reviewed, Test X180 Genesis uses a few proprietary blends meaning whatever your money buys you, it’s not the full information about every ingredient and its dose. Let’s take a closer look and find out what we can

How Does It Work?

At a Glance

  • Ashwagandha to raise endurance
  • Fenugreek to balance blood sugars
  • “Supreme Testosterone Support Complex”
  • “Cognitive Clarity and Endurance Matrix”
  • “Testosterone Metabolite Reduction Blend”

We’ll dig deeper into what those fancy sounding names really mean after the scores

The Scores

The Scores
Ingredients
4/10

Fenugreek is a strong start and ashwaganha has its benefits, but after that we’re not exactly blown away. Tongkat Ali, Horny Goat Weed and Maca all have much the same effect, i.e. not a lot. A boost for libido and that’s it.

Estrogen blockers like DIM and Cordyceps could be useful but both need more research and the lack of dosages for the cognitive enhancers mean we’re not convinced. Overall pretty disappointing.

Price
2/10

Over $100 for one bottle any natural booster is always going to be an incredibly high bar. Test X180 Genesis doesn’t get close to making it over that bar.

There are far better options out there which will set you back much less cash. Unless you’ve got plenty of money and pretty low standards as far as your supplements, we’d suggest you keep on shopping around.

Trustworthiness
6/10

They might have got a little overexcited with their pricing, but generally speaking Force Factor are a reputable company. That means we’ve no worries about product safety. But slapping such a huge cost on a product that’s missing so much and not even giving us all the information on the label leaves a lot to be desired trust wise.

Testimonials
6/10

The Force Factor testimonial section falls a long way short of the level of detail we look for. No videos, stats or before and after photos.

Feedback on the official site is not much better than user reviews on retail sites. On balance these are positive, with Test X180 Genesis scoring highly on GNC, but only managing 3 out of 5 on Amazon.

Company
8/10

Force Factor are a successful supplement company with a decent range of product besides Test X180 Genesis. There is in-depth background information on their website and they currently have a Better Business Bureau rating of A+. The only reason we’re stopping short of full marks is the ridiculously high price and the use of proprietary blends.

How Do I Take It?

Users take 2 servings of 2 caps a day, first with breakfast then again with dinner.

This is far from the best serving schedule. Spacing capsules out that far apart means active ingredients are likely to tail off and become less potent in the middle of the day.

3 or 4 servings a day at regular intervals fixes this problem, which is why the most effective boosters usually use this system.

Any Test X180 Genesis Side Effects?

There’s nothing in this the formula that jumps out as a real worry, but any time you’ve got a proprietary blend you don’t have all the facts and any time you don’t have all the facts, you can’t rule it out completely.

Where Can I Get Test X180 Genesis?

Users can find a month’s supply at Amazon for just (sarcasm klaxon) $119.

Ingredients – In Detail

Ashwaganda

Ashwagandha

A useful adaptogen, meaning it helps the body better cope with stress, like exercise, allowing you to keep going longer.  So even though it doesn’t boost T directly, for what it does it’s a solid pick and 300mg is a good amount.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26609282

fenugreek-thumb

Fenugreek

Another strong choice. This ingredient, used a lot in Indian cuisine, can raise libido, stimulate androgens, and help balance blood sugars. This is important as this helps regulate insulin and stops skewed levels getting in the way of T.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16379570

Maca

Maca

We’re into the proprietary blends now, so no individual dose here. But we’re not that impressed by it anyway from a test boosting perspective. Doesn’t do much for your T, though may help libido and in the right amount erectile dysfunction problems. Not useless but far from essential.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/18801111https://testosteroneresource.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=2212&action=edit

Tongkat Ali

This is known by a few names, including Longjack.  Studies have shown it has had some success in returning guys with clinically low T to just within normal range, but beyond that it’s not much help.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21671978

Horny Goat Weed

Again not much direct help for T, just a possible boost for sex drive and some help with erectile dysfunction. Disappointing.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20141584

ginseng-thumb

Asian Genseng

This brings plenty to the table from a T boosting perspective. It raises nitric oxide levels in the body, stimulating blood flow and helping energy, but also helps to balance blood sugars in the same way as fenugreek. It’s a real pity we can’t be sure of the amount we’re getting.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/159829

Bacopa Extract

There is clinical evidence to suggest this can lower stress as well as increase focus and memory. It’s part of a blend that’s meant to do that, however again we’re not sure of amount we can’t say for sure if it will help.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11498727

Vinpocetine

Another ingredient thought to increase blood flow, sharpen memory and reduce cognitive decline.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21311488

Tribulus Terrestris

Tribulus

Any credibility this plant had as a T booster has long since been disproved. It’s really frustrating to see brands still charging good money for a useless ingredient. We don’t know how much is here and we’re not sure we want to. Whatever it is, it’s too much anyway.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15994038

Cordyceps Extract

Sometimes called White Button Mushroom this ingredient demonstrates some ability to limit estrogen, the studies so far have mainly been in vivo. Definitely more human studies needed before we’d choose it for our ideal booster.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11739882

DIM

DIM

DIM is a nutrient found in green leafy veg which shows promise as an estrogen blocker in some studies. Trouble is, in certain doses it can boost the female hormone, and we don’t know how much we’ve got here. That’s just one of many reasons why proprietary blends suck.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11931841

Anything Missing

You bet. No D-Aspartic Acid, vitamin D3, zinc, magnesium, boron or vitamin B6 to help with blocking estrogen.

Overall

Test X180 Genesis doesn’t get anywhere near justifying over $100 a bottle.

It’s asking a lot from us and not delivering nearly enough. The price tag is writing a check the formula can’t cash. We recommend you keep your check book exactly where it is.

The good news for us is some of the very best boosters out there don’t charge nearly as much as this, so you can go ahead and get better results and save a considerable amount of money.
