Test1fy Review

We understand that most companies try to give their products unique and snappy names which will stand out. Something that will become a buzzword in the T boosting market.

But Test1fy from Olympus Labs sounds more like a password than a buzzword frankly. No matter, it can stick as many random letters and numbers in the title as it wants – as long as the letters and numbers on the label are right, we’ll forgive just about anything.

We’re promised:

  • Greater muscle mass
  • Lower estrogen
  • Higher testosterone
  • Stronger libido
  • Greater growth hormone

Test1fy

Thankfully there’s no password required when it comes to the dosages. They are all right there on the label. Not a proprietary blend in sight, just how we like it.

How Does It Work?

At a Glance

  • Vitamin D3 to boost T
  • Ashwagandha to reduce stress and boost endurance
  • Longjack for libido
  • Mucuna pruriens to raise L-DOPA
  • Dehydroabietic Acid to try and control estrogen

The Scores

The Scores
Ingredients
6/10

With an active dose of vitamin D3, a strong amount of ashwagandha and plenty of mucuna pruriens, Test1fy is far from all bad. But it’s missing a lot basics, which would make it a really quality booster. Also ingredients like Longjack are really just filler and lowering estrogen is too important to gamble on an unproven choices like Dehydroabietic Acid.

Price
7/10

Around the $40 mark is about mid-range for a booster. So although the price (if you can find it this low) couldn’t be described as bad for what’s on offer here, you could only really call it value if the formula was more complete. If you’re on a tight budget this might be a brand you’d consider, but even then there are probably stronger options.

Trustworthiness
8/10

Test1fy is made in the U.S so has to comply with cGMP regulations and as we said there are no proprietary blends to keep you out the loop of what you’re putting in your body.

Most ingredients are there in active doses it’s just a question of whether some should be there in the first place and what’s missing that could make the recipe and claims match up.

Testimonials
7/10

This product generally does well in star ratings and short paragraphs on retail sites, but to get really high marks from us, we’re looking for more in-depth info. You can get this from a testimonial section. Extra detail about the individual user and their experience lends credibility. Short reviews and stars are too easy to skew.

Company
7/10

Olympus Labs are a successful supplement company operating out of New York. They have strong branding, a wide range of products, an online community and several brand ambassadors.

The only criticism we could find is customers who tried free samples losing money after being automatically signed up for a subscription. Always be wary of that. Money back guarantees are safer.

How Do I Take It?

Users should take 2 servings of 4 caps a day.

8 caps! That’s a lot. Nobody’s being short changed there, right? Well actually you kind of are. Just 2 servings mean however you space them, there’s going to be hours in the day when you’re not getting as much help as you might be. This is because active ingredients will be starting to wear, or have worn, off.

Number of caps shouldn’t get the headlines.

Any Test1fy Side Effects?

As long as you’re careful of your own possible allergies to anything here, we can’t see there being any problems with side effects.

Where Can I Get It?

You can get Test1fy from Amazon.com for $38 for a 1 month supply. The U.K will find it in stores like Predator Nutrition for £44.

Ingredients – In Detail

vitamin-d3-thumb

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 is great for your T. Naturally we get it from sunlight and if your dosage is high enough, you’ll go a long way to getting your test high enough too. The magic number you need to reach is about 3000IUs and Test1fy just sneaks over the finish line with 3,332 IUs

Anacyclus Pyrethrum

Anacyclus Pyrethrum is favourite of traditional medicine, used for stimulating both the mind and the groin. It has shown some promise stimulating the building blocks for T, but only so far in lab rats at very high levels. So another 3000mg or so may be a little premature. Possibly not without benefits though.

Ashwaganda

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha is an adaptogen, meaning it is able to help your body better deal with stress. This includes the type it comes under from exercise so in theory it is able to extend your workout. 675mg has a chance of doing that. There has been one study done on healthy men, over an 8 week period they took 600mg daily of Ashwanghanda and saw an increase in testosterone of aroun 15%.

Tongkat Ali / Eurycoma Longfolia

Longjack

Longjack is really just a libido booster and nothing more. If you have clinically low T then some studies claim this can help claw you back to normal range, but for going to our safe peak? No real help. 100mg that could’ve been used better.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22125680

Dehydroabetic Acid

Controlling estrogen is important because it’s the hormone on the opposite end of your balance to T. It’s good that this product is tackling that but it would be better if it was something a little more proven. Dehydroabietic Acid does seem to block estrogen to an extent but at this stage it’s barely had any human studies.

mucuna-pruriens-thumb

Mucuna Pruriens

Otherwise known at velvet bean, this ingredient is useful thanks to its high levels of L-DOPA. This amino acid not only stimulates androgens which help with T, but it helps lower your cortisol, the main stress hormone. Cortisol not only blocks T but as you might expect makes you feel anxiety. Dealing with it is a win/win. 500mg is a great amount.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/7716783

Calcium Fructoborate

As the name suggests this is a mix of calcium and boron. Calcium doesn’t do much for T directly but can help other ingredients like vitamin D3 to be more effective. It only takes a small amount of boron to potentially raise T and lower estrogen so this hybrid could be useful. Olympus labs certainly back it, giving us 500mg.

Anything Missing?

Zinc and magnesium are usually no brainers for a quality natural booster, but they’re no show-ers here. Likewise we’re missing D-Aspartic Acid, which is much more proven in promoting LH, GH & FSH than Anacyclus Pyrethrum. Vitamin B6 would’ve been better at blocking estrogen too.

Overall

The stand out ingredient here is vitamin D3 and a few supporting choices make it worth going for this over just a D3 supplement, but overall there’s still too much missing.

There are plenty of other options out there full of more D3, D-AA, ZMA and all the other stuff we need but don’t get here. Saying that though, a solid enough product at a decent price.
