Genius Test Review

If there’s one thing we’ve noticed reviewing supplements, it’s that marketing is a fine balance.

Whether it’s in a bar or in a review, self appointed Geniuses make us itch to see them fail. But is that fair? Not really, let’s give these eggheads a chance to prove their Einstein qualities in a proper review. Read on!

Genius Test

Then in the literature they say they don’t consider Genius Test a testosterone booster (that term has become a joke apparently) as much as a ‘Male Optimization’ supplement. This is because it delivers:

  • More lean muscle
  • Improved stamina
  • Better libido
  • Reduced body fat
  • Less stress

Newsflash: You know what helps with all of that? Testosterone. Calling itself a Male Optimization product is a bit like the pizza delivery guy calling himself a ‘Food Transport Technician’.

A fancy title doesn’t change what you do. You’re a T booster mate, whether or not you’re a good one is on you.

At least we’ll be able to see just how good it really is as we don’t have any proprietary blends to worry about. All the ingredients are right there on the label with their amounts. Smart move, genius.

How Does It Work?

At a Glance

  • Ashwagandha to improve physical performance
  • Shalajit extract to support T
  • DIM to control estrogen
  • Fenugreek to regulate blood sugar levels
  • Boron to boost T

Hmm. Mixed bag. We’ll separate the yeah from the meh after the scores …

The Scores

The Scores
Ingredients
6/10

Genius Test’s formula isn’t actually half bad. A whopping dosage gives ashwagandha every chance to do its best work and 500mg of fenugreek is always welcome. We’re not 100% convinced by DIM but at least the makers have given some thought to controlling estrogen.

Of course if something’s not half bad you know what that says about the other half. Genius Test is just missing too many proven T boosters which could’ve been here instead of something like Longjack. Only boron is a direct T booster so combined with a less than ideal serving schedule, means not quite the finished article.

Price
5/10

Genius Test is trying to sell you the idea of having a high IQ and at nearly $60 it’s trying to sell you something else high too. The problem is we’re just not buying it, in any sense of the word.

Not only does Genius Test’s incomplete formula not justify that price range, it’s right in the ball park of some of the best boosters on the market. So if you’ve got that kind of cash you won’t have to shop around for long to do better.

Looks like the marketing department have been let down by the lab Larry
Chase, as Edison said - genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. I reckon the rest is just luck.
Trustworthiness
7/10

In terms of trust, there’s actually a fair bit going for Genius Test too. They’re GMP certified so we know they’re safe and all the ingredients are full disclosed on the label, which isn’t as common as it should be in this game.

On the flip side though the company is pushing a product which is missing a lot and charging you a pretty penny to boot. That doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

Testimonials
7/10

Believe it or not Genius Test is among the best rated boosters on Amazon. Believe it or not is the question though, because those Amazon star ratings aren’t the most difficult to skew in a product’s favor.

Obviously lots of good reviews are positive, but if they lack the personal user experience details of an in-depth testimonial, there’s always going to be a question over how much of a plus this feedback really is.

Company
8/10

Genius supplements are a pretty professional looking setup out of Seattle. They’re determined to set themselves apart with a lot of worthy sounding mission statements alongside their product range on the website. They’re a little light on company info, but we couldn’t find any red flags as far as how they operate so we’re not too worried.

How Do I Take It?

On non-training day Genius Test suggests you take 2 caps twice a day with meals. On workout days you take 2 an hour before you train then another 2 in the evening.

That’s inevitably going to leave big gaps in your day, between servings and after the last one where active ingredients are petering out. Sure you can move the times you take them but you’ll always be missing out somewhere.

Any Genius Test Side Effects?

Fenugreek may cause a slight stomach upset in some but besides that though there shouldn’t be any problems.

Where Can I Get It?

You’ll find a month’s supply pf Genius Test on Amazon.com fot around $57

Ingredients – In Detail

Ashwaganda

Ashwagandha

Ashwagandha actually has a number of benefits performance wise. It’s an adaptogen which helps your body better adjust to stress, like exercise, meaning you can go for longer. It’s also an aphrodisiac and in high amounts can stimulate T. 1000mg is certainly a lot, but not quite the 5g which is required to raise T levels.

Shalagit Extract

This is an ingredient with some promise. Used in traditional medicine for years, modern trials have shown just 100mg can stimulate a vital building block of T, follicle stimulating hormone.  The same study found it caused a 23% rise in T, but this has only been proven so far in infertile men. Still this was at 200mg and we’ve got 500mg here.

fenugreek-thumb

Fenugreek

Fenugreek is another solid multi-tasker. Not only can it put you in the mood for love, it stimulates androgens to promote T. Maybe most importantly though it aids a healthy balance of blood sugar levels. This contributes to the regulation of insulin, which if allowed to get out of balance can hurt T. 500mg is a good amount too.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16379570

Tongkat Ali / Eurycoma Longfolia

Longjack

Longjack, Tongkat Ali, Eurycoma Longfolia, if only this ingredient had as many uses as it does names. Once thought a useful T booster it only seems to benefit guys with clinically low test, looking to return to normal range. For the rest of us with our eyes on peak T a boost to libido is all we can hope for.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22125680

boron-thumb

Boron

Boron is a great choice. The mineral is perfect for the testosterone estrogen balance we touched on earlier, because it can boost T and lower estrogen. 10mg is the perfect amount to get results too.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21129941

DIM

DIM

DIM is a nutrient found in green leafy veg which some studies show can lower female hormone levels. That’s important because when estrogen’s up, T is down and vice versa. Sounds great, but DIM isn’t an estrogen inhibitor as much as a modulator. That means it can move it up as well as down. That’s unlikely here, but we’d prefer a choice which was strictly a one way street.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22125680

Quercetin

Quercetin won’t do much of anything for your T. This flavonoid found in red grapes is really just has anti-oxidant effect, which are lovely but a bit beside the point in this case, Supposed to help with absorption of Genius Test. We’re not convinced however.

Anything Missing?

What’s missing is really Genius Test’s weak spot. Things like, zinc, D-Aspartic Acid magnesium and vitiman D3 are all nowhere to be found. Forget genius, these are the basics.

Overall

So we still say Genius is a bit strong for this TESTOSTERONE BOOSTER (accept it folks) but maybe promising student is fair.

With its high price and missing components however, we suggest you don’t run out and buy this. At least until they add to the formula or subtract from the cost.
