Vintage Boost from Old School Labs is one of the most original looking testosterone supplements on the market. But more importantly the company claim it’s one of the most effective .

We all know though that strong branding doesn’t always mean a strong product. In this review we’ll look at just how far Vintage Boost delivers on its goals of greater strength, muscle, energy and improved libido.

Vintage Boost - Old School Labs

How Does Vintage Boost Work?

Hats off to Vintage Boost for avoiding proprietary blends.  Old School Labs shows a bit of old school honesty with every ingredient and its dose on the label.

Vitamin D2

Seems better than it is. Vitamin D is proven to raise T, and 2000IUs sounds plenty, but there are two problems here.  Vintage Boost uses vitamin D2, which less easily absorbed than the ideal D3, and only over 3000IUs have been shown affect male hormone.

Vitamin B6

B6 is among the best natural anti-estrogen ingredients.  It works on the C2 pathway of the brain to slow production of the female hormone and reduce the effects of what’s already active in our system. With less estrogen, testosterone can thrive.

Magnesium

Magnesium helps T because 60% of the stuff can be tied up by a protein called SHBG.  This stops T working and magnesium  is one of the best ways of freeing it up.  With a whopping 200mg in here there should be more than enough to get the job done.

Zinc

Low zinc is often seen in cases of Low T & not by accident.  The mineral helps stimulate vital building blocks for healthy testosterone production such as luteinizing hormone, which dictates how much T we create.  Too much zinc can cause side effects, but 30 mg will be fine.

D-Aspartic Acid

One of the strongest natural T boosters available.  Like zinc it encourages luteinizing hormone, as well as human growth hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone.  You can’t really have enough of this stuff, so we’d like to see more than 3000mg.  Some of the most effective boosters have around 5000mg for example.

DHEA

There is evidence of DHEA boosting testosterone, but it has also been known to boost estrogen.  Needs more research before we can say it will have a positive effect, which makes this ingredient a risk, even at 50mg per serving.

Tribulus Terrestris

This was once championed as a premium T booster but studies have debunked these claims.  It does have a slight effect on sex drive in some but that’s doesn’t come close to deserving 500mg.  Sometimes it’s better to be up to date than old school.

Maca Root

Maca Root is a useful libido booster, which in fairness is one of the things Vintage Boost promises.  Won’t do much for T levels however, which makes the large 450mg dose a bit of waste.

Anything Missing?

Not really.  Vintage Boost has all the elements you would want from a T booster are covered, it’s just some of the selections could be better.

How Do I Take It?

We’d say Vintage Boost serving schedule is weird and wonderful, but to be honest probably only the first half of that is true.

In the 1st week you take 3 capsules once a day with food, then the following two weeks take 3 capsules twice a day with breakfast and lunch, then in the 4th week 3 capsules once a day with breakfast.

….Don’t ask me, I just review here.

The serving schedule that usually gets the best results is 3 or 4 servings of one capsule,  evenly spaced to keep active ingredients working all day.

Side Effects?

Users haven’t reported any side effects and we wouldn’t expect any from what we’ve seen

Where Can I Get Vintage Boost?

You can buy Vintage Boost for $69.99 from Amazon.com. It’s not available in Europe.

Conclusion

The Scores

Ingredients (5/10) – It’s not all bad news, the D-Aspartic Acid is a welcome as are magnesium and zinc, but vitamin B6 is under dosed, as is the vitamin D, which isn’t as strong as it could be anyway, With almost a gram wasted on a unproven T booster and a libido booster, this is far from the most effective formula we’ve seen.

Price (3/10) – $70 isn’t an unreasonable price to pay for a T booster, but it is a lot of money to pay on a monthly basis and these products should earn it.  Vintage Boost doesn’t nearly meet that high bar, never mind the $94 it’s supposedly reduced from.

Testimonials (6/10) – Most of the reviews of Vintage Boost are to be found on Amazon.com, where it has 4.5 out of 5 based on just over 300 reviews.  This may sound strong but this feedback lacks the detail and usefulness of testimonials.  Also Vintage Boost promote Amazon on their website so it’s possible there might be a bit of co-promotion.

Trustworthiness (7/10) – Vintage Boost is manufactured in the USA so we’ve no concerns about its safety, but saying you use premium ingredients and including 500mg of Tribulus Terrestris is a little out of order.  Also charging nearly $70 for this formula is questionable.

Company (8/10) – Vintage Boost operate out of California and have a really strong brand.  They’ve expanded their Vintage range to include sleep aids, fat burners and joint strengtheners among others.  A few well known bodybuilders serve as brand ambassadors and offer a money back guarantee and military discount.  Our only issue is with price and formula.

Overall

Vintage Boost still has one of our favorite logos, but with a hit and miss set of ingredients and a frankly bonkers serving schedule, it’s far from our favorite booster.
